Q1 : Can I programmatically edit the input data and use the result?
It is possible to embed VBScript in WinActor scenarios. There is a function to bind variables in scenarios and variables in VBScript.

Q2 : Is it available in Mac OS?
Mac OS is not supported, please check WinActor's product description for operating environment.
Q3 : Will it work in a VM environment?
VM-specific restrictions, user rights restrictions, and security policy restrictions may affect logging and execution according to circumstances. In particular, the policy settings will vary according to the user environment, so before purchasing we recommend that you use the trial version to check it works.
Q4 : Will it work in Linux environment?
It doesn't work in Linux environment, please check WinActor's product description for operating environment.
Q5 : Do I need internet connection when using WinActor?
WinActor does not require an internet connection.
Q6 : Not only IE but also Firefox and Chrome?
WinActor does not require an internet connection.
Q7 : Does WinDirector require administrator privileges?

Q11: Are there any restrictions on PC resolution for WinActor operating environments?
No problem if it is “1024 x 768” or more.
Q12 : Is the server operating system not under warranty?
WinActor v4.3.0 or later supports server operating systems. As of January 2018 we guarantee the working guarantee of windows server 2016.
Q13 : Can I change the installation folder of WinActor?
It is possible to move the storage within the same terminal as the WinActor evaluation version during the trial. However, in the case of WinActor, the version with the license key registered after purchase requires the same steps as the terminal migration.
Q14 : When I'm running a low-installed version of WinActor, the message “PC info has been changed, re-register license” appears and WinActor cannot start.
The uninstalled version saves the data of the PC that was started first and then confirms it's the same PC as the first startup. This error message appears when you copy the WinActor-related file and start it on another PC. Please download the WinActor documentation as zip and unzip and start.
Q15 : Can I use WinActor in a thin client terminal environment?
Thin clients in an independent server environment for each client can perform the same operations as a PC.
Q16 : There is a difference between 64 bit and 32 bit even though they are the same OS version because of how WinActor works.

Q17 : It starts with admin privileges on the WinActor installer version, but it throws a startup error if it's a regular user (PowerUser group).

Q18 : What units do you need for a WinActor license such as HW, users, number of cores, etc.?
One license is required for one device. One VM is required per terminal.
Q19 : Does communication occur during license activation?

Q20 : In picture matching, is the color difference related to the success or failure of the match?
Colors are relevant because matching is performed on pixel dyes.
Q21 : The browser (IE) cannot register in the target window settings for image matching.
IE “Protected Mode” may be enabled, check the WinActor Manual and verify that “Protected Mode” is not enabled.
Q22 : Image matching does not work depending on the operating environment. Is there a solution?
Please try to match the display of the scenario created PC and the PC in use. ・ Reduce the “match rate” of the image matching feature.
Q23 : Can the scenario created with the trial version be applied to WinActor with the retail version of WinActor?

Q24 : Can I run the situation while the laptop is off?

Q30 : If the OS version and Office version are the same, if you change the PC version, do you need to adjust the situation?
There is no need to adjust the situation if the recording environment and execution environment are the same, such as screen size and resolution, even if the format is changed.
Q31 : Is it possible to execute a situation with only the PC display turned off?
If the screen saver doesn't go to sleep even if the display on the PC is off only then the simulated image can be used.
Q32 : Can I substitute strings for each Office product (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)?
It is possible. You can use emulation to display and replace Find and Replace windows with hot keys [Ctrl + F] and [Alt + P].
Q33 : If you try to perform an operation with WinActor, you will get an error due to insufficient memory.
Displaying flow charts in particular requires memory. You can reduce memory usage by dividing the situation by tabs (subroutines) and by closing the groups appropriately and reducing the drawing area.
Q34 : Is it possible to start a situation with a specific time?
This can be achieved by combining WinActor's shortcut activation functionality and the Windows task scheduler.
Q35 : What kind of “WinActor” RPA can you use?
As a rule, it is compatible with all Windows. For example, there are usage records in registering order data to the backbone, data collaboration between multiple systems, auditing in software development, etc.
Q36 : Is there a limit to the number of scenarios that can be created and saved?
There is no limit to the number of scenarios that can be created and saved.
Q37 : Currently recording and touch panel operation is not supported.

Q38 : What happens if an error occurs?

Q39 : Is it possible to run simulated images regularly?

Q40 : Is there a difference between the Japanese version and the English version when creating the situation?
Because the functions of the Japanese version and the English version are the same, the node name and button name are in English. But there is no difference in creating the situation.
Q41 : Can't use the warning that 60 days have not passed. But the expiration date has passed.
This is because the trial version was originally installed or the first activation date occurred after the expiration date. Please note that the trial version has an initial activation period and expiration date.
